On enrolment all students are allocated to a sporting house for the school carnivals in swimming, cross country and athletics. Mount Morgan State High School has three sporting houses.
The Sporting Houses Include:
Mount Morgan State High School holds three sporting carnivals every year.
Cross Country – End of Term 1. Students who qualify will go to Rockhampton district trials.
Athletics – End of Term 2. Students who qualify will go to Rockhampton district trials.
Swimming – End of Term 3. Any students who do Club Swimming can see the Sports Coordinator with a time from an event to be nominated for districts in Term 1.
Students are allowed and encouraged to wear their colours to every sporting carnival.
Students who are successful in these competitions progress to represent the school at the district (Rockhampton trials), regional (Capricornia Trials), state (QLD Trials) and national levels (Nationals).
Please Note: The Mount Morgan Pool is Temporarily Closed for Renovations, therfore swimming and the swimming carnival are cancelled until it is re-opened.
