University Pathway Programs for Senior Students
At Mount Morgan State High School, students in Years 11 and 12 have the opportunity to begin their university journey while still completing their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). These programs are designed for motivated, high-achieving students who are ready to experience tertiary-level study and gain a head start on their future careers.
CQUniversity – Start Uni Now (SUN) Program
Through Central Queensland University’s Start Uni Now (SUN) program, eligible students can enrol in university subjects while still at school.
Benefits include:
The opportunity to experience university-level study while completing high school
Potential eligibility for direct entry into an undergraduate degree at CQUniversity
Each successfully completed SUN course contributes two (2) credits towards the QCE
Reduced course fees or potential fee waivers for school students

University of Queensland – Enhanced Studies Program (ESP)
The Enhanced Studies Program (ESP) offered by the University of Queensland (UQ) allows Year 12 students to complete a university subject during their final year of school.
Program highlights:
Students can study one UQ subject for free
Gain one adjustment point towards entry to UQ undergraduate programs
Each subject contributes two (2) credits towards the QCE

Queensland University of Technology – START QUT
The START QUT program gives Year 12 students a chance to experience life as a university student by studying a QUT subject during their senior year.
Benefits include:
Completing a real QUT subject with university students
Earning QCE credits and contributing to future QUT study pathways
Having the subject count towards a future QUT degree

Griffith University – GUESTS Program
The Griffith University Early Start to Tertiary Studies (GUESTS) program allows Year 11 and 12 students to complete a university subject at Griffith.
Program highlights:
Earn two (2) QCE credits per completed course
Gain direct entry and credit towards selected Griffith degrees
Study online or on campus with flexible learning options

University of Southern Queensland – Head Start Program
USQ’s Head Start program enables high-achieving Year 10, 11, and 12 students to complete university subjects and experience university learning first-hand.
Program benefits:
Earn QCE credits and university credit towards a future USQ degree
Study online or at a local campus
Reduced or waived course fees for school students

James Cook University – JCU NOW
JCU NOW provides senior secondary students the chance to start their university studies early with flexible, online courses.
Program features:
Free for eligible Year 11 and 12 students
Earn QCE credits and credit towards a JCU degree
