Regular Attendance
Consistent attendance is essential for students to meet subject requirements and achieve their best learning outcomes. All students are expected to attend school on every day the school is officially open unless stated otherwise by school commincation.
Students are not permitted to leave school grounds before the official end of the school day without authorised permission being provided and a pass slip from administration.
If a student is absent or arrives late, they must report to the administration office to sign in providing a note or explaining the reason for their absence or lateness.

Parents and carers can report absences by:
📞 Phoning the Student Absence Line: (07) 4912 5555 (available 24 hours)

Student Care and Wellbeing
Sickness
If a student becomes unwell, they must report directly to the Sick Bay. It is essential that the school has up-to-date emergency contact details for parents or guardians. Students admitted to Sick Bay will generally be sent home once a parent or guardian has been contacted.
Accidents
In the event of a serious accident, an ambulance will be called. If necessary, the student will be transported to the Mount Morgan Hospital.
First aid will be provided while waiting for assistance, and parents will be contacted as soon as possible.
Medication
School staff are not permitted to administer non-prescribed medication (e.g. Panadol, Nurofen, or Disprin).
If a student requires prescribed medication during school hours, the following procedures apply:
A parent or guardian must provide written permission to Administration - forms can be obtained from the office.
The medication must have pharmacy dispensing instructions clearly written on the container.
Without written consent and labelled instructions, staff are unable to administer medication.
Emergency Contacts
Please ensure the school has your current address, phone number, and emergency contact details at all times.
If your details change, contact administration staff as soon as possible.
